The Modigliani Quartet was formed in 2003 by these four young musicians who studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. They have won many awards and First Prizes, and since their appearance at the Vancouver Playhouse in 2007-08, they have acquired, on loan, a rare matching set of instruments made in 1863 by the great French violin maker, Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume.
