The Environment, Story-telling, Instrument-building and Music making! For over 20 years Bash the Trash has been delighting audiences with their sold-out interactive programmes, collaborating with such institutions as New York's 92nd Street Y, Carnegie Hall and Mister Roger's Neighbourhood. Meet this group of New York-based musicians and educators who build and perform on instruments made from re-used and re-cycled junk. Their interactive workshop/concert for children aged 3-6 years is a journey into sound, science and instruments - all the while showing them how to keep the Earth clean.
In Clunk the Junk children will explore the Percussion Family - instruments that can be shaken, scraped and struck. Audience members will be able to build their own musical instruments and join the Bash the Trash band in a rousing musical story. Sure to be a hit!
Tickets may be purchased without a subscription through the VRS office at 604-602-0363. The cost is $8 for children and $15 for accompanying adults.
